Parrish Construction is based in Carmichael — this isn't a market we drive to, it's where we live and work. When we remodel a kitchen in Cypress Park or off Fair Oaks Boulevard, we're working in our own neighborhood, and the finished project has to hold up to running into the homeowner at the grocery store for the next decade. That's the standard.
We're a design-build shop: one team carries your kitchen from first sketch through county permits to final walkthrough, and you'll know your all-in number before demo starts.
Thinking about your own kitchen? We'll give you a straight answer on scope and budget — usually within one business day.
Every kitchen is different. Whether you're refreshing an outdated layout or taking a Carmichael home down to the studs, our team has the experience and trades in-house to handle every phase of the project.
Carmichael isn't a city — it's an unincorporated community, which means your kitchen permit goes through Sacramento County, not a city building department. We pull county permits constantly and know the review timelines, the inspection cadence, and where projects tend to stall. It also means the addresses out here are a ZIP-code soup: mail in the ARC corridor says one thing, neighbors say another, and the county line between Carmichael, Fair Oaks, and Arden-Arcade rarely matches anyone's mental map. We work across all of it, from home base.
One of our favorite recent projects sits right here in Carmichael's Cypress Park neighborhood: a $38,420 Enhanced-tier remodel, twelve weeks start to finish. We opened a load-bearing wall to connect the kitchen to the living space, replaced a cramped peninsula with a true central island, and built the room around custom micro-shaker cabinetry — Chantilly Lace on the perimeter, a gray-stained white-oak island — under quartz counters and a full-height Tilebar backsplash, finished with the Samsung Bespoke appliance suite.

At Parrish Construction, our kitchen projects fall into three tiers — Essential ($19,500–$29,500), Enhanced ($29,500–$44,000), and Custom ($44,000–$70,000) — which sit within that range. We provide a fixed-price proposal after walking your space. For the full breakdown, see our Sacramento kitchen cost guide.
Permits are required for kitchen remodels that involve electrical, plumbing, structural changes, or HVAC work — which covers most full remodels. Parrish Construction handles all permit applications and inspections as part of our project management process. You won’t need to navigate the Sacramento County permit office on your own.
Most kitchen remodels take between 6 and 12 weeks for construction, depending on scope and material lead times. Full gut remodels with structural changes may run longer. We provide a detailed project schedule before construction begins so you know exactly what to expect at every phase.
